How To Flash Stock ROM On Your Device
Step 1: To get started, download Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet SGP771 USB driver and install it on your computer. Once done, download the stock ROM file of your device and extract it into a folder on your computer. Once extracted, you will get the .ftf stock ROM file as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 2: Now download Sony Mobile Flasher and install it on your computer. Once done, launch its Window.

Hi,
I flashed this on my Z4 and I get an error message with ‘flash aborted’ right at the end. Tablet now won’t work – any idea how to fix? I’ve tried flashing again….

Hi, You Can try factory reset method follow this procedure.
1) Hold the “Volume Up” button and hold the “Power button”.
2) Next, Using the Volume Up or Volume Down Keys navigate the options to select “Wipe cache partition” and press the “Power button” to confirm.
3) Once Done, Using the Volume Keys select “Wipe Data/ factory reset” and use the power button to initiate the process. Now restart your android device, That’s it.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, I’ve tried that too – the tablet just shows a black screen or the sony logo followed by ‘software upadte failed’. I can’t run software repair as the tablet seems to be locked.
Anything else you’d suggest?
